Long Term Weight Loss
Filed under: Health News;No CommentsIn todays society we are conditioned to think short term , not long term. We have companies that report quarterly profits or losses and professional sports teams that fire coaches for not winning in their first season, we have buy now ad’s for every consumer item that you can think of and we have a million diet promotions that offer fast and often easy results. We have enough fast food to feed entire nations and in the mean time we condition them to our fast and easy way. No wonder most diets fail before they start because they didn’t work like magic in just a few short weeks. Now I will say there are some fantastic programs that will do wonders for you in the short term like Craig Ballantyne’s Turbulence Training.
Now Craig is well known for getting great results and can put you on a program that will knock your socks off. The key is after the initial few weeks or months go by is to stay hungry in the long run. How do you maintain this drive 1 year or 2 years from now. I believe that you have to have a long term vision about how you want to look and what are you willing to give up in order to achieve those results. Now those goals you set for yourself need to be attainable and realistic. You need to be forgiving as well since you have spent perhaps many years with eating habits that brought you to this decision in the first place. When we undertake the challenge to eat better it can be daunting to say the least but understand that this takes time as well. Often we hit sticking points in dieting and we tend to just grab whatever because we starving like we have always done before but that’s not when you should pack it in. You can always look at your goals of what you want out of this diet and exercise program and start the next day with those in mind. We are not perfect and sometimes we stumble but the most important thing is to begin again.
