    lose weight easily
Low Calorie Diets don’t work since the human body adjusts immediately to decreasing calorie intake slowing down metabolism to allow energy storage, namely fat. What you need to maintain calorie burning is a steady intake of protein, carbohydrates and fat with lots of water in between.

A typical fat burning meal would consist of a 6 ounce grilled or poached filet of salmon, ? cup of steamed broccoli and a tossed salad with avocado and almonds mixed in. This combination has all the nutrients you need to keep your motor running without cravings while burning calories at the same time.

Artificial weight loss products are not necessary when combining exercise and these fat burning foods. Losing your desired amount of weight is ten times easier after changing eating habits.

When you think about exercise is it grueling workouts or a 30 minute walk around the park? Any kind of exercise is an advantage and once you get moving your body will respond. We were not created to be inactive, cardiovascular & strength workouts like yoga, hiking or lifting weights in the gym will melt away the pounds.

Eating a minimum of 4 meals daily every 3 hours keeps your metabolism levels above par and you’ll have a full feeling throughout the day. Following that arrangement along with planning and exercise is the key behind a fat burning diet.

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome difficult to diagnose. Simply because unline many diseases and afflictions where there is visible evidence to confirm it’s presence, fibromyalgia symptoms are invisible in appearance yet their effect on the human body can literally reduce a person to "solitary confinement."

Women seem to be affect most and at this stage, there is no known cure. So people are now looking to diet as a possible way to combat symptoms. Looking for the best diet for fibromyalgia may be as simple as sticking with antioxidant rich and low fat foods.

While there is no concrete evidence yet to suggest that diet for fibromyalgia   will be the most effective solution to combating symptoms there are definitely some encouraging signs.

    The Perfect Fibromyalgia Diet?

There is no perfect diet for fibromyalgia but there are definitely foods you need to consider. It consists of healthy foods that are high in immunity boosting antioxidants and low in fat content. Antioxidants and phytochemicals in these foods work together and maximize alertness and energy levels. They also tend to minimize lethargy and fatigue.

There are few foods that must be totally avoided from your fibromyalgia diet  . These foods include coffee, carbonated beverages, chocolate and alcoholic beverages. Some of the other foods that need to be avoided are tobacco, fried foods, white sugar, high fat dairy products and red meat.

Giving Up Foods That Could Be Harmful

The mere thought of giving up soda, alcohol, sugar or cigarettes could be very scary for some people. But it is important to realize that these addictions are slow poison for your body and you will never recover from fibromyalgia unless you give them up. All you need to do is make this transition gradually instead of sudden. Do not use them as comfort foods and keep in mind that your immune system is already compromised and you cannot afford to deteriorate it further.

Different people suffering from fibromyalgia react differently to various foods. Discover your own sensitivity for food and maintain a food diary. You can write what goes on into your mouth and your body’s reaction to that. This will help you discover foods that may trigger pain or allergy.

Make carrot juice a part of your daily diet. In addition to this, eat lots of fruits, vegetables and foods have omega 3 oil. Fibromyalgia diet nutrition   is important so that your body can get rid of toxins and restore nutrients. Beware of the miracle diets and supplements that are advertised for FM patients. Inform your physician if your going to start a new diet plan.

Are You Trying To Stop Smoking?

Help available for smokers who want to quit

Nov. 20 is the date of the Great American Smokeout, when smokers pledge to cut cigarettes out of their lives forever, and the Will County Health Department has a great offer to get started.

    The department’s Freedom from
smoking   classes will be free of charge to those who sign up this month. That applies to any of the classes currently scheduled, even those set up for January, February and March of next year.

Saving on registration costs is not the only way to save bucks in this poor economy, either.

According to Will County Health Department health educator Michelle Marek, a bonus of more than $1,460 is in store for those who quit for good. That’s the average cost of a year’s worth of cigarettes, she said.

It’s definitely worth it financially, Marek said, but to many, the health benefits to quit smoking   far outweigh the monetary ones.

“Many of the health benefits to quitting smoking happen really, really fast,” she said. “In only a matter of hours, your body begins to get healthier. Within two hours, the nicotine begins to leave your system. Within six hours, your heart rate and blood pressure begin to decrease. Your circulation improves within two weeks, as the blood vessels that were constricted by the nicotine begin to relax.”

Stop Smoking Aid Offers Unique Teeth Whitening Benefit

Smokers now have a new motivation to quit, a first of its kind stop-smoking gum with a whitening benefit. Nicorette White Ice Mint is the first stop-smoking aid with a whitening benefit that not only helps with tough cravings and withdrawal symptoms, but also helps whiten teeth.(1) A new survey found half (49 percent) of smokers surveyed say the yellowing of their teeth strongly contributes to their decision to quit smoking.(2) Further, younger smokers (68 percent) under the age of 35 are especially concerned about the effects of smoking on their teeth, and more of them (82 percent) want to quit smoking because of it.(2)

Experts believe this new stop-smoking product is important because it provides smokers with a new option to quit smoking and the unique whitening may be an extra push to motivate smokers to initiate a quit attempt. In fact, the survey shows that 72 percent of people believe a quit-smoking product with teeth whitening benefits will encourage them so they can quit for good.(2)

Smoking coupled with obesity raises death risk

Everyone knows smoking and being obese is not healthy for you, but now a new study shows the odds of dying early are highest among obese smokers.

“We know that obesity and smoking by themselves are important health risk factors,” said lead researcher Annemarie Koster, an epidemiologist at the U.S. National Institute on Aging. “We found that smoking and obesity are independent predictors of mortality, but smoking and being obese especially increases the mortality risk.”

Smoking and obesity both carry a significant mortality risk, but particularly smoking, Koster said. “It seems that smoking cessation was associated with significantly lower mortality risk in every weight group,” she said. “Quitting smoking will definitely improve your mortality risk, no matter in what weight group you are.” Losing weight   will also lower mortality risk, Koster said. “Both losing weight and quitting smoking will increase your health and lower your mortality risk,” she said.

The report was published in the November issue of The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

For the study, Koster’s group collected data on 3.5 million members of the AARP, aged 50 to 71. In 1995-1996, and again in 1996-1997, AARP sent out questionnaires asking people about diet, family history of cancer, physical activity, hormone replacement therapy, weight, waist size, and smoking.
